Torneo Argentino de Patin en Santa Rosa de Calamuchita

La Municipalidad de Santa Rosa de Calamuchita  informa que entre los días 20 y 26 de Mayo de 2013 se llevará a cabo el Torneo Argentino de Patín Artístico (divisional B ), en Santa Rosa de Calamuchita  Este se desarrollará en las instalaciones del Salón de Usos Múltiples (S.U.M) del Camping Municipal.

El mismo es  organizado y fiscalizado por la C.A.P (Confederación Argentina de Patín) y la Federación Cordobesa, y participarán algo mas de 600 patinadores que van  desde los  8 años a categoría mayores.

Las actividades darán comienzo los días 19 y 20 de Mayo con las pruebas de pista y a partir del martes  21 se  iniciará la competencia alrededor de las 8.00 horas  finalizando la jornada cerca de las 20.00 horas. (así sucesivamente durante toda la semana).

Los participantes que nos visitarán son integrantes del seleccionado de patín artístico de cada provincia de nuestro país, entre ellos: Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Mendoza, San Luís, Catamarca, Misiones, Chubut,  Río Negro, La Pampa, Santa Fe, Salta y por supuesto Córdoba.

Dicho torneo permitirá la competencia  en  disciplina libre y escuela, como así también participarán parejas de alto.

El costo de la entrada será de  $ 25 (menores de 12 años gratis).

También se comunica que  la Escuela Municipal de Patín Artístico de Santa Rosa, participará del primer Torneo Zonal del año 2013 organizado por la Federación Cordobesa de Patín, el próximo sábado 18 de mayo en la localidad cordobesa de Marull.

Del mismo 13 chicas de entre 7 y 12 años, competirán en disciplina libre y escuela.

Las primeras 5  clasificadas de cada categoría participaran del torneo provincial en el próximo mes de Julio.

Autumn is in the air

Yesterday we took a walk next to the river in town after we had a cup of coffee. Autumn is definitely here and you can see the changes everywhere. Somehow I got the feeling that summer doesn`t want to go away just yet and is still hanging on for dear life.

There is still a lot of water in the Santa Rosa river and I know it is still early days but I hope it will stay like that for the whole winter. The days are lovely and warm but there is definitely a bite in the air early morning and in the evenings.

I have a suspicion that this year is going to be a cold winter.

There are no long weekends in May but in June we have a nice break and we are inviting you to make use of our special offer: 3 nights and 1 night free.

Rally Argentina

En mayo llega el Rally Argentina, la fiesta de los fanáticos en 700m del Hostel Tinktinkie!

La fecha del miércoles 1 de mayo ya figura en rojo en el calendario, pero además este año, los tuercas ya lo tienen reservado para el inicio de la 33ª edición del Rally Argentina, quinta fecha del Campeonato del Mundo, organizada por el Automóvil Club Argentino y que se desarrollará hasta el sábado 4 en las sierras cordobesas.

Tomarán parte del Rally Argentina las tres clases que integran el torneo mundial: los autos de la clase mayor WRC conocidos como world rally cars, los de la clase WRC 2 (del ex Grupo de Producción y S2000) y la nueva clase WRC 3 (tracción simple). Particular interés cobra la participación del campeón
Sébastien Loeb, quien tiene un programa reducido de apenas cuatro carreras en el año.

Junto con estas tres principales categorías del Rally Mundial, el Rally Argentina como en todas las ediciones, también recibirá la participación de un importante grupo de pilotos locales y regionales que tendrán la posibilidad de inscribirse en cualquiera de las tres clases anteriores o de sumar sus nombres
al listado de los que competirán por llevarse la tercera edición de la Copa ACA.

Este año el Rally Argentina se iniciará el miércoles 1 de Mayo y finalizará el sábado 4 de mayo. Durante esas cuatro jornadas se recorrerán 408 kilómetros divididos en 14 pruebas especiales por los principales valles turísticos de la provincia de Córdoba, entre los que se destacan los tramos largos del primer día en las Sierras Chicas y Punilla, dos nuevos especiales inéditos en el
Valle de Calamuchita y los tradicionales Giulio Césare y El Cóndor en
Traslasierra.

Lazy Summer Afternoons

Everything is smelling fresh after the beautiful rain that we have had yesterday and today. It washes all the dust and dirt away. I decided to take a stroll down to the river this afternoon to see how full it is and how strong the water is running.

The sun was just about to go under and I saw my friend Norma sitting in the water and just enjoying the lazy summer afternoons. The water was a little cold after the rain but that didn`t prevent the children and the other adults from enjoying the water.

I always enjoy a quick chat with my friend and she told me that the river is running very strong and that a dog got swept away this afternoon when he tried to cross the river. How sad is that? I hope they will be able to find him.

Next weekend is a long weekend in Argentina and we are inviting you to come and enjoy our beautiful river and nature. It is also Carnival weekend - a jam packed weekend!

An Upgraded Private Room

We have recently decided to upgrade one of our Private Rooms. This was the first room that were finished when we built Hostel Tinktinkie in 2008/2009. I remember the night before we had our first booking so well.

Friends of Andrey booked the room for a week and this was the only room that we had available at the time. There was no kitchen yet. Andrey finished the tiling and last of the grouting and at 3 am in the morning I sat down on the bed and I cried. It was tears of tiredness, stress and relief. We had our first room ready for people.

At the start of the season (2013) I decided to change the duvet and bedding and I purchased a beautiful reversible duvet set from a lady in Buenos Aires. I decided to stay with the lime green colors but to add black in case I get tired of the green. After the high season we will paint the room but will stay with the same colors.

We invite you to visit our upgraded room when you want to enjoy the beautiful summer holidays in Santa Rosa de Calamuchita. Remember we have the annual Carnaval coming up on 8,9 and 10 February. We still have some places available.
